Now riding the bus is easier than ever. The Little Blue Card for the Big Blue Bus is Santa Monica bus line's very own Metrocard. Easy to use, it works better than cash. Just board the bus, insert it into the farebox and your exact fare is automatically deducted from the card's prepaid value. And the Little Blue Card offers the same discount you get with tokens. The farebox reader can even display your card's remaining value so you'll know when it's time to recharge.

Your Little Blue Card can take you virtually anywhere you need to go. Use it on any Big Blue Bus or any other bus within the Metrocard system including Culver CityBus, Norwalk Transit, Foothill Transit or Montebello Bus Lines.

Transfers? Multiple Fares? The Little Blue Card does it all.
The Little Blue Card works for you, no matter how you ride the bus. Need to purchase an interagency transfer or multiple fares? Simply inform the driver before inserting your card and the correct fares will be automatically deducted.

Adding value to your card is easy.
You can recharge your Little Blue Card on any Big Blue Bus. Just decide how much value to add ($5, $10, $20 bills only), tell your driver, then insert your card and money into the farebox and the card's value will be increased right there. Your Little Blue Card can also be recharged at the Big Blue Bus Administration Building in Santa Monica. There's no need to worry if your card gets damaged, just visit the Big Blue Bus office for a replacement. The Big Blue Bus cannot be responsible for lost or stolen cards.
