Lots of L.A. Westsiders, Malibuites and visitors love to hike the Santa Monica Mountains' coastal canyons. Along Sunset Boulevard, just a couple miles from the beach is my favorite local hike - at Temecal Gateway Park. Pictured are two trees leaning across gushing Temescal Creek. It was a favorite resting and meeting place until the trees were knocked topsy-turvy by high water in a recent winter storm. I hope others enjoy my rememberance of this beautiful place.
