San Francisco Peaks With Aspens In Foreground, Northern Arizona

The San Francisco Peaks are the highest in Arizona. Just outside of Flagstaff, it towers over 13,000 feet and on a clear day can be seen from over 100 miles away. Clearly volcanic in origin the hotspot has continued to move east. Sunset Crater, a classic cindercone, lies less than 20 miles away.
